Mistakes in news of death after vaccination in Taiwan

The mortality rate caused by the new coronavirus is by far the highest in Taiwan. This is because infections to the elderly are spreading, such as clusters in long-term care facilities and domestic infections. If the number of late-stage elderly who died after vaccination is about 50, the mortality rate is 0.0087% (although it is unknown how directly related to vaccination). On the other hand, the mortality rate when infected with corona is 22%.

Ninety-five percent of people who die after taking the AstraZeneca vaccine have an underlying illness, especially those undergoing dialysis. Others had chronic illnesses such as dementia, diabetes, hypertension, renal failure, coronary heart disease, cancer, and heart disease, and some were bedtime. In Taiwan, there were also data such as people who had their throat clogged with rice dumplings eaten during the Dragon Boat Festival (June 14, 2021), which is a holiday, and those who fell and died before inoculation.

Although there is some anxiety, few Taiwanese blame it on Japan. Dissatisfaction is directed at the Taiwanese government, let alone on the verge of riots.

Some Taiwanese have a sense of crisis about the spread of incorrect information in Japan, and use official statistical data to explain it to Japanese people on Twitter.
